Learning to Learn

You may be familiar with the saying “Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day; show him how to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime.” Lynn feels the same way about learning. Lynn works with students in Grades 6-12 to develop independent, resourceful and confident learners.

The Role of a Learning Coach

Working as a Learning Coach, Lynn helps students to close the gap between ability and achievement.

Levelling the Playing Field

The average class size in Ontario continues to rise, with some teachers having as many as thirty or more students in their classrooms each day. 1 in 5 of those students will have learning and attention issues. With a teacher’s attention spread so increasingly thin, exceptional students often do not receive the individualized attention they need to be successful.

Career and Post-Secondary Planning

The challenges and opportunities faced by students in this century are unlike those of any previous generation. All students today require specific knowledge and skills in education and career/life planning to support them in making sound decisions throughout their lives.
